Where to stay for the 2027 Tabuleiros Festival
The Festa dos Tabuleiros is held every four years and is the biggest event in Tomar. On 18 April 2026 the town voted to hold the 2027 edition, in July.
During the festival the town fills up and accommodation in the centre sells out many months ahead. Arcos 61 is in the historic centre: step outside and do everything on foot, with no car and no parking to hunt for.

The festival
What is the Tabuleiros Festival
A popular festival in honour of the Holy Spirit. Its high point is the Cortejo dos Tabuleiros: hundreds of young women parade through town carrying on their heads trays of bread and paper flowers almost as tall as themselves, topped by a crown or a dove. Over the festival days residents decorate the streets of the centre with paper flowers, and there are parades, music and the sharing of bread.
